HEL started life in 1985 as 'Hose Equip', a company operating in the Industrial Marine and Hydraulic sector, so it has a good pedigree for hydraulic products. It was acquired by its current owners in 2000 and moved entirely into the performance fluid transfer marketplace. At that point, the company's name changed to Hose Equip Limited, the now famous Devil's tail logo was designed, and the HEL Performance brand was born!
HEL Performance Brake Line Kits offer safety, security and an attractive slimline finish. The kits contain everything required for a complete installation, including stainless steel banjo bolts and copper washers.
The original HEL Brake Line Kit features Stainless Steel fittings and Stainless Steel braided hoses which offer excellent resistance to both corrosion and abrasion. HEL swage fittings ensure a positive and secure connection, a streamlined finish and are lighter, less bulky and safer than the reusable equivalents.
HEL Stainless Steel braided hoses are now available in 13 colours: clear, red, transparent red, orange, yellow, lime (Kawa) green, transparent neon blue, blue, black, transparent carbon-look, white, pink, and purple.
There are many benefits from braided stainless steel brake lines as opposed to the original rubber ones. With a stainless steel braided hose there is no loss of pressure because the stainless steel doesn't expand like the oem rubber hoses, so not only is the hydraulic pressure maintained, but the cable is stronger and lasts longer.
There is also a choice of 7 different colours for banjos, so you can really achieve the look you want for your bike: silver, black, blue, gold, purple, green or red, whatever floats your boat or matches your bike!
There is a choice of 3 different brake line set ups for twin calipers 1. Over the mudguard 2. Race Line 3. Standard setup (as original manufacturer setup)
All kits come with stainless steel banjo bolts, copper crush washers and rubber grommets (where required) to safely mount the lines using your bike's original guide brackets
